Protect Lorrain Valley
According to the best available information (and getting
any facts regarding this process is NOT easy) this crew
of Wind Turbine Assemblers looking to build in our area
use the Canadian Wind Energy Atlas.
The buttons will take you to the websites to verify what we
found so check out the "annual average wind speed" in our
area and then take a look at the formulas and statistics below.
With the latest information out of Germany (that they harvested only14.8% of the estimated wind energy (estimated by the turbine erectors) for ALL their wind turbines) we can do a little extrapolating ourselves and figure out that the only reason the alphabet soup of turbine salesmen have turned up here is for
those lovely hydroelectric hook ups to the power grid....
cause it sure can't be the wind, eh?
let's be generous and say the average wind speed
here is 5 m/s about 11.185 mph or about HALF what
the 'average turbine with 45 meter blades would need to create the promised electricity. (45 METER BLADES...
does one need a degree in Physics to know that's gotta
make it's presence known in a Crown Forest....sheesh.)
